Granada is a small yet beautiful city in the south of Spain with a very enticing atmosphere. The specific IES trip provided a very complete experience, allowing us to see all there is to see in the city. Granada has great traditional Spanish food as well as influence from North Africa. One place I recommend visiting near the center of Granada is "Little Morocco" which has a lot of people selling traditional Moroccan goods as well as many restaurants with this same theme. Another must see is la Alhambra, which is located on a hill overlooking the city. At night it is lit up and a beautiful sight and it is one of the more interesting things to visit there. Additionally, time in the traditional Arab baths is also a relaxing time well-spent.
In terms of nightlife, I recommend Campus, although it does not seem to get busy until 2:30 or 3 am. Additionally, one popular activity is to go to a large empty parking lot where many locals all hang out all night.
For transportation, we took a flight with Vueling, which was included in the cost with IES. Flying definitely seems to be the best option as Granada is a significant distance from Barcelona.
