Transportation-T.A.M. (4-5euro) to Termini station, 45 mins -FR1 Local Train (8 euro) to Ostiense, 35 mins -3 day metro pass for 18euro was totally worth it, used it every day Accommodation - Hostel Lodi(A bit outside of the city center. Walk to metro line about 7 minutes and then take the line or bus to the city sites in the heart of the city. It was very quiet with unparalleled hospitality. They helped plan out our days and breakfast was include-juice, tea/espresso/cappuccino, and 2 of the best croissants I have ever had)
- Yellow Hostel, Rome (near Termini stations, affordable with bar attached, very young vibe)
- Funny Palace Hostel (also near Termini, very clean and accommodating)
Important Sites/Monuments-St. Peter’s Basilica (and steps to view from top) -St. Peter’s Square -Vatican Museum -Sistine Chapel -Pantheon -Trevi Fountain -Colosseum -Roman Forum -Piazza Navona Restaurants - Frigidarium- $ Best gelato in the books. I suggest the Frigidarium flavor and the chocolate chip flavor. You can get milk or white chocolate on top, it’s melted but when poured over the gelato it becomes a hard shell, garnished with a cookie. Phenomenal.
- Pizza Zizza- $ Great, affordable lunches. Rated #1 on tripadvisor.
- Pastascuitta-$-$$ Right near Vatican, quick and cheap pasta, all different noodles and sauces.
