Restaurants:
- I used STA Travel, the flight was a little over $200 dollars but the city itself is very inexpensive and it was completely worth the trip.
- Both airports (Tegel, Schonefeld) are equidistant from city center. Flights to Tegel are often cheaper
- TXL Express Bus or Express Bus X9 will bring you to city center (2.90euro one way)
- Metro system very efficient, ticket purchases are based on the honors system as there are no machines that check your tickets, etc. If they do randomly check tickets and you don’t have one, you will have to pay a non-negotiable fine.
Accomodation:
- We stayed at Hostel Aloha, 7 min. walk from Alexander Platz, 18 euro per room

-Super cool graffiti, murals, street art on all of the walls.
-Was pretty quiet and people were friendly although kept to themselves. - -If you are interested in meeting other travelers perhaps a bigger hostel would be for you. one that includes breakfast is ideal
